The most crucial thing to growing in a reading classroom is getting my students to read. My goal is that through having an engaging classroom library of both fiction and nonfiction text that they will gain a love for the adventure that can be found within books, while also gaining the necessary skills to succeed in and outside of the classroom. In our classroom we spend time working on independent reading daily. The addition of these books to our classroom library will encourage my students to find literature that they love. I want them to love reading, because when they love it they learn it.
