I have had to borrow different types of exercise equipment from my fellow physical education teachers at other campuses in order to serve my students. I would like to have permanent equipment on our campus to promote a long-term exercise program that the students will be excited about! My goal is to have a more stationary setting during this exercise program because I serve over 700 students on a daily basis. This equipment will be very beneficial to implement our small group workouts. The home gym will give the students the luxury of exercising 3-5 muscle groups and to develop a routine. These muscle groups are all important to the development of the child. Students will be able to use this equipment at their leisure and keep track of their growth. Therefore, it will be extremely beneficial and will provide very effective results. I also plan on beginning a student/teacher after school workout program that will hopefully bridge the gap between students and teachers and to build relationships between the two. I look forward to sharing the new exercise equipment with my students!
