Our school is a title 1 school so many of our students are underprivileged. Many receive special academic services at our school because of a lack of early childhood resources in the home or because parents are not involved. Our students are eager to learn and like little sponges, they soak up every bit of information that is handed to them. Some students face so many challenges before they set foot in school that school is like a safety zone for them. My first graders have made huge gains this year because we try to provide all that they are not getting from their home life. They are loved and nurtured here with the limited resources that we have available for them. Our school does an awesome job of taking all these factors into consideration
