My teaching style and the way students learn is transforming into a world where student's know they have a voice to express how they learn. I have embraced 21st-century learning and alternative learning spaces. My classroom is a mobile environment with students being able to choose where they learn and group themselves for optimum learning and comfort. Since taking out most of my desks and repurposing my old furniture, student engagement has increased along with happier students and a blessed teacher! We want to continue to make our classroom a model for other educators by showing that it is the way of the future in education. Our world has been opened up, and the learning that is taking place is going beyond what I could ever have imagined. We are looking at adding some new furniture, updating our devices, adding new books and teaching curriculum.
