In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, my students came to school with wet backpacks, soaked books, and lost supplies. This year, I want my students to have everything possible for their success. A positive, constructive physical environment truly sets students up for success! They are able to engage with the classroom and feel at home where they learn. In my math class, students are able to engage with the material in fun ways. I am so excited to see my students work out problems on dry erase boards and inside dry erase inserts. Printing important resources and trackers on colored paper engages students and helps them know their growth is important! This year is the year where every student realizes their potential and feels supported. My classroom will teach children not only math skills for everyday life, but also that they are valued and worthy.
