My students are studying to become masterful mathematicians in fifth grade. They love learning about all sorts of weird and interesting facts about the world around them. They soak up what I know about the world, like the fact that the average human will eat 8 spiders in his her lifetime while sleeping or that frogs swallow with the help of their eyeballs. However, I can't be their only resource for fun-filled facts. That's why we need you. Our school is a small suburban elementary in Pennsylvania with about 500 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. The students come from varying backgrounds. Some are wealthy, while others don't have the money to pay for a pair of shoes to wear to school. In my classroom, 35 percent of the students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program.
