  • STEAM Students!

    Funded Dec 20, 2021

Thank you for providing our class with materials for our STEAM program. Our school just recently became a STEAM school and are partnering with the local zoo for science. These resources will help students have a hands on experience with science materials. The kids love the motion unit. The ramp and cars activity in the kit has really helped the students learn about friction and speed. Thank you again for making our lessons more enjoyable and based on STEAM activities. 21st century skills are so important for students these days.”

    Funded Oct 22, 2021

Thank you for your considerate donation. The students use the materials you funded on a daily basis. When the materials came to the school they were jumping for joy! The materials really helped start the school year out fresh. The math notebooks are used daily in math class as warm up activities. The prize box toys are used as rewards for the kids during the school day. They just love the fidgets and other toys that in the pack. We do prize box every Friday so this gives them something to look forward to!”

    Funded Jul 9, 2019

Thank you for your generous donation. The students were so excited when the boxes arrived! They are using the materials on a daily basis, especially in Math and ELA. Wee're currently working on a writing project where the supplies come in handy. The craft kits are great too. The students use them to add some creativity to their writing projects. We posted the writing and crafts in the hallway for all to see. The students are very proud of their work and thanks to you they had all they needed to get it done successfully.”

The science journals are used on a daily basis. They are perfect review journals for our science lessons. We use them every morning for science review. Our students take a NYS science test in June where they need to apply the skills they learned in science. • Everyday Essentials

    Funded May 8, 2019

We are using your donated items on a daily basis. They really helped out during the beginning of the school year. The super hero displays were beautiful and the kids loved them. The easel is used everyday during small group instruction.

The students' were very eager and excited to open the new boxes of materials. The notebooks and giant timer are used during all subject areas. The dry erase markers and boards are using during math instruction. In addition, the pencil sharpener comes in handy and is very durable.

Currently, our classroom is Super hero themed.. The students feel very comfortable in our classroom because of the awesome decorations and inspirational signs hanging up!”

  • Three's a Charm!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for your support with our classroom. We are using the resources during independent/group time. For example, the fluency cards are very resourceful for students who are trying to increase their words per minute. At the moment, our highest reader is at 171 words per minute. Thanks to your help, students have the opportunity to increase their fluency and comprehension on a daily basis.

When the materials arrived, the students were in awe. Many started cheering and others couldn't wait to open the boxes! The appreciation was written all over their faces! They couldn't wait to work on independent activities that were purchased.

Currently, we are working on a European Explorers PowerPoint project in social studies. In addition, the students just recently completed a Native American longhouse project. Also, in English Language Arts, the students are creating a character pumpkin for a book report project. Our class enjoys hands on activities and they love to write!”

  • Care to Communicate?

    Funded Jan 3, 2017

Our students are thoroughly enjoying the resources you provided. They are using the writing folders to organize their writing pieces. The graphic organizers are helping students brainstorm ideas and pre-write their drafts. Our English Second Language Learners are using the books to help them build their vocabulary and recognition of English words.

Reading in our classroom is very diverse. Students use the different reading centers to either enrich or to review skills. The writing centers also help students generate writing ideas and provide story starters for early finishers.

The ESL students in the class are really enjoying the English language Learning activities that were donated. All students are benefiting from the resources!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Przykuta
