My students live in RI, in an inner city school where they don't get out into the world often, nor do they take time to think about the life cycle of animals. We live in a poverty area, where they don't have field trips often and when they do we try to get them to enjoy hands-on experiences. This way they take the experience home with them and hopefully never forget. I would get to bring the life cycle into my classroom and allow my students to experience a "hands-on" activity. They can use their Math skills to graph, chart, draw and research the life cycles of different birds.
