Trout Lake School District is nestled at the base of Mt. Adams in Washington state towering nearly 12,000 feet over our isolated rural K-12 School. Trout Lake Valley is incredibly beautiful and local agriculture is focused on maintaining organic farming. The entire district K-12 is located in a single building with a current student enrollment of 240 students. The district may be isolated and rural, but the students are eager and willing to learn. As the middle school science teacher, I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade science and a 7th and 8th grade exploratory STEM projects course. In addition, I teach one course in high school biology at the sophomore level.
