My special education students are mainly African American and Latino youth from the most economically depressed neighborhood in our city. On a daily basis they confront the challenges endemic to this condition, including hunger, the dangers of gang violence, a lack of role models, and low expectations. I want to inspire, educate and equip my students with computer coding skills to pursue 21st century opportunities!

About my class
