I have included in this request materials for two units of study: Biology and Electrical Energy. The materials requested for learning about life science will provide hands on opportunities for my students to experience and learn about the various life cycles of living organisms. The materials requested for learning about electrical energy will provide hands on opportunities for learning about electrical energy, the flow of energy, and concepts of properties of matter. This kit will also supplement robotic STEM materials already in my classroom. Through teaching science, I seek to encourage independent thinking while fostering my student's creativity. This is not done by learning science from a book- you have to experience these things. You have to see the light bulb go off (pun intended) and you have to see the butterfly emerge to truly understand the incredible magnitude of science in our lives.
