I need ready to use learning centers, such as Lakeshore Number Rockets, Lakeshore Magnetic Math Learning Rods, and Magnetic Rhyming Sounds to keep my students engaged and focused while learning necessary skills for reading, writing, and math. These centers will help students develop skills independently and risk free. Why are hands-on learning centers important? Lakeshore rockets are perfect for practicing counting and number recognition skills as kids play. It will engage my students who are tactile or kinesthetic learners, who need movement to learn best. Magnetic Rhyming Sounds will also engage students who are auditory learners, who talk about what they're doing, and visual learners, who have the opportunity to see what everyone else is creating. I will be able to use the Magnetic Rhyming Centers to teach necessary reading skills and then students will use them during the day to practice the skill on their own or with a friend. These learning centers will keep my students excited and motivated to come to school to learn.
