Research has shown that students will have increased engagement if they are able to choose their seating. This makes sense to me as I enjoy working in different seating arrangements depending on what I am doing. My students will have the luxury of choosing more comfortable seating options if I receive these chairs, lap desks and seating bubbles. My intention is to increase student engagement and inspire them to do their absolute best. I believe that being slightly more comfortable will provide the motivation needed for some students who have difficulty focusing in a traditional seat and desk. I would have loved to have been in a classroom when I was younger that had this type of flexible seating!
