Last spring, two high school science teachers were approached by two high school students inquiring about a possibility of starting a Science Club at our school. With the current budget cuts across the nation, we knew it would be a difficult task; however, we were ready to take on that challenge. As we approach the end of first semester of our first year, we are still going strong! Our Club consists of about 30 students, and we are very excited about creating projects, labs, and competitions between our members, even if it requires operating without any monetary support. Our students are fascinated with Astronomy - we are planning a "Night Sky Observatory" sessions during the month of May; however, we do not have any telescopes that could be used by our kids.
