Calculators will be used to help students access additional learning tools during Math class. We will complete projects that ask students to calculate multi-step problems and allow students to go back and check their calculations before moving on to another problem or lesson. It gives students a chance to explore Math with scientific accuracy. Currently students rely on paper and pencil math to complete projects. This is often time-consuming and difficult for students as they begin to learn about exponents, graphing, etc. Having a scientific calculator will allow students to be more accurate in their calculations. This will also allow students to take on larger, more complicated projects during class and during enrichment activities.
