The very rigorous Common Core Standards have made it imperative that learning is geared towards helping the children to become college, career, and life ready. This goes well beyond the required state exams. To me this means to help the children learn to work well with others, how to depend on others, and to become dependable and accountable to others. My classroom programs are having multiple positive effects on the children; first and foremost they are learning how to work well with others, next they are learning about using technology as a tool. Up until this time in their lives they are used to thinking about technology as a toy. My program is helping them transition into responsible technology users. They are thinking about how to use technology to complete their assignments , and how to have technology work for them rather than the other way around.

About my class
