My students are great kids and young adults at the same time. The students in my class are all ILS/ED. ILS/ED defined; ILS=Independent Living Skills, students in an ILS class have an Intellectual Disability formerly known as Mentally Retarded. ED=Emotionally Disturbed, these student require a lot of support to help regulate emotions and the resulting behaviors. This class is a new creation this school year. This class pulls students from other ILS and ED classes that had both diagnoses, but had to go into either program.
