Every day I am amazed at how much learning is going on in my untraditional classroom. I pieced together flexible seating from what was available and the students love it. Flexible seating allows for better communication, collaboration, commitment to learning and a sense of community. This space will provide them with a more positive social-emotional well being. Our classroom is our home. Our home is our ohana. We learn where we are most comfortable. Students are getting more work done in a collaborative classroom that is comfortable to work in. Having flexible seating will assist them in their problem solving and decision making. In turn, flexible seating may help with college and career ready goals.
