My students have not been able to purchase new camera equipment for our journalism program since 2010. We will utilize this new camera kit to improve our reporting for yearbook, online news site and newspaper. My journalism students are eager to improve their photography and photojournalism skills, as well as multimedia reporting. This camera, and the two lenses, will help my journalism students improve their skills, as they strive to maintain a high excellence of reporting. The use of these lenses will help my students get up close and personal with their subjects or great images, at small f-stop values, depending on their reporting situation. The camera will help students report at school board press conferences, athletic and school events, without worrying if the lens or camera body is defective due to age.
