Sensory needs for students is on the rise in the United States. 9 out of 10 students have a need for engaging in learning in a different way. Not all students can sit in a traditional chair for 30 minutes at a time. Sensory integration should be a part of every classroom! Having a few seating options in my classroom will allow my students to engage in their learning more actively and to focus better. I notice when we use a different type of seating, my students work and engage at a higher level. The wiggle seats are so popular, my old and beat up one went to our first grade. I am excited to have some seating stay in my room! By having wiggle seats and sensory stools in my classroom students will be able to focus in on their learning better! By donating to our project, you will assist many students will sensory needs but you will also help students in their future education by adapting to environments better, solving problems in an un-traditional method and becoming 21st century success stories!~
