In our classroom, we believe that students will remember what they have learned more effectively if they are taught using hands on activities. We want to create an environment for our students where they are allowed to explore and we want to make their learning experiences memorable. The materials requested for this project will allow students to participate actively in our weather unit. It will give them a better understanding of what lightning is, how tornadoes happen, and how the water cycle works. These materials will allow us to make these concepts concrete for students within the walls of our classroom.
