Each child is unique. Each of my students have strengths and weaknesses. We work to use our strengths to help others, and we help each other turn our weaknesses into strengths. Their learning styles and needs are also very different. We always tell our kids that their differences make them special. We don't expect them all to fit in a certain mold. I can't expect their learning styles to fit a perfect mold either. My job is to nurture each of my students and accommodate their learning styles to help them be successful. In our class, we celebrate our differences and work together to achieve more. My class is a family that will learn and grow together over the course of the year. These students have a great sense of humor, and an excitement that is contagious. I love seeing the "light bulb" when they understand something new I have taught them, or the excitement to share an answer. They surprise me every day!
