By having these materials in our classroom, my students will be excited to arrive to class and be ready to give their best effort because they know they will have the tools necessary to be successful and feel supported. I find that often times many of my students lose interest in preparing for tests, because they might not have the money to get the extra organizational supplies. If our class is equipped with highlighters, pens, sticky notes and snacks and stickers and flexible seating as an incentive they will rise to the task of being able to stay focused when they ordinarily would want to mentally "check out".
