Our school is more than 90% free and reduced lunch with the majority of the population being African American. The scholars that I work with are a part of a small population of those with special needs. My scholars have a range of disabilities from severe autism to mental impairments. They are sweet and want to learn but struggle to communicate or remember basic information. Our school is full inclusion so these scholars spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom.

About my class
