I am requesting a Cricut machine and accessories to use in my classroom in a multitude of ways. First, I plan to create inspirational and witty math and science themed sayings to put on my shirts, to create a positive experience at school. I think reaching kids through humor gets great results. I also plan to create specific decorations for our classroom, making it an inviting home away from home. Furthermore, I plan to create objects out of card stock to help my students deepen their knowledge of science topics. I plan to help students trace the flow of energy from the sun as it is transferred along the food chain through the producers to the consumers. I would also like to give my students the opportunity to explore graphic design by allowing them to use the machine to make designs that will be used on Field Day t-shirts.
