My students range from gifted to requiring early intervention services. They range from wealthy to receiving free school lunch. My classroom has a range of diverse backgrounds, including students that are African American, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Caucasian. My school is a public elementary school, but we pride ourselves on such a quality education that we feel as though it is like our students are getting a "Private education for free." We are an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, so we incorporate numerous units of inquiry into our learning in addition to our standards being taught.
