I have a class of 20 first graders, 11 boys and 9 girls. They are a creative, fun, and active group of children who greatly benefit through hands-on and minds-on learning. Our unique school in Florida is environmentally based, which encourages active learners. A large part of our curriculum is learning through discovery and through our studies of the environment and environmental issues. I teach to the whole child, giving equal importance to the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children.

About my class
