My kids are great kids who have been through a lot in their young lives. Almost all of my students are from low-income families. They haven't yet mastered the ability to remain calm and focused in their general education classroom. These tools will help students satisfy the need for movement or sensory-seeking behaviors by allowing students to fidget in their general education classroom by using the different textured balls and stress toys. When students need a quiet place to find their calm, the Orbeez will help my students de-escalate in one of my classrooms and return to a ready-to-learn mindset. My students need tools to help them remain calm, focused, and ready to learn. These tools will help my students fidget in a way that won't distract other students but will allow them to remain in the general education setting. My students enjoy being included in the general education setting, and these tools will support their inclusion. Thank you for supporting these exceptional students as they learn to be a valued and appropriate member of their classroom community!
