My students are enthusiastic band and orchestra kids. They attend a rural Title I school that is only three years old. These students have fun in band and orchestra class and enjoy playing music. They take pride in what they do, and they work hard to make their performances as close to perfect as possible. Last year, the orchestra students had the experience of performing with electric violinist Mark Wood, which is something none of us will ever forget. This musical memory that we all share has motivated students to stay in orchestra, and has created camaraderie within our orchestra. We are always saying or doing something silly, and even have our own inside jokes within our group. It makes for some great stories!
