Flexible seating allows students to pick the best spot and best way to learn. This allows students to be more engaged and have less distractions around them. Children shouldn't be stuck at a desk for 6-7 hours a day! When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower. These donations would help me to give each and every student the ability to sit in a comfortable place where they can focus and learn. My students will be able to take control of their learning and understand how/where they learn the best. Currently, my students are utilizing SOME flexible seating options. We have gym mats, a small sofa, carpet squares, and clipboards to move around the classroom, but we do not have enough options for all students. I have already seen the benefits in my students when they are allowed to pick how/where they learn. More options would allow more of my students to pick how/where they learn best!
