Our school is a K-8 Expeditionary Learning school that strives to integrate social studies and science into all other content areas. Students are able to dive deeper and challenge themselves to learn about real-world problems or issues that impact their lives. Furthermore, students develop safe relationships that allow them to inspire and encourage each other to develop high-quality projects that display their learning. Although our school is a public school, it is a choice school. Therefore, many of the students that attend are at the school because of their desire to have a different learning environment that emphasizes social studies, science, and now technology. It is an older school, but this year it will be wireless! This allows the students to become more knowledgeable about technological devices and learn how to use technology as a tool to enhance their learning by accessing texts, movies, images, and other media from around the world.
