Distance learning in a rural community is very difficult. The students in special education don't have the equipment to access the online learning tools and Teletherapy sessions that are becoming the "norm" of their education right now. Many students are in low socioeconomic situations or their parents have lost their jobs. Chromebooks with a TouchScreen will allow the students to use a stylus or their finger to participate in learning opportunities and therapy sessions through video conferencing. I see one family with 3 students and another with a set of twins. The Chromebooks will allow them to sit together and share the webcam instead of crowding around a phone for therapy sessions.
