My students will be more willing to read if the book interests them. Books about sports and high school drama contribute to students continuing to read even if the language is difficult at times. I included a book shelf system to divide the books into reading levels and genres. By providing a high interest reading library, you help encourage students to enjoy reading even while they learn a new language. The goal is to increase their language acquisition by providing high interest materials. By meeting this goal, students will gain academic growth they can use to go to college or their choice of careers.
