Our brand new school is located in a poverty stricken inner-city neighborhood. Many of my students live in the public housing that surround our school. Most students come from a single-parent home and come to school thirsting for experiences. My class represents a wide array of ethnic backgrounds including African American, Asian, Hispanic, and White. Our students all have some disabilities, some have processing difficulties while many struggle with language and communication. My students love to be at school. Their days begin with breakfast, then we move to circle time and then to thier favorite "center" time, we always end with time outdoors or celebrating music in the music area.
