Next semester, my students will complete a unit in which they research and write about student rights in the U.S. Constitution. My students are very socially aware, and I know that they will want to engage as deeply as possible with the material. The problem is that even our largest computer labs cannot accommodate my largest classes, so students cannot all research at the same time. Additionally, there are teachers who use these labs as their day-to-day classrooms, and so any time I use one, I impose on them. These tablets would give all of my students equal access to the internet for research, as well as allow us to rotate through preliminary research without imposing on other teachers and their students.
