My first graders love collaborating on projects in the classroom. We've recently started researching through online resources but lack the necessary materials to effectively complete projects. We need a Chromebook. With the requested Chromebook, my students will be able to collaborate with their peers and complete numerous projects throughout the year using this technology. Not only will students be researching, but they will be writing papers, creating digital portfolios where students can "show what they know" using photos, videos, drawings, text, and links. This technology will empower students to independently document what they are learning at school. They will create journals across all academic areas that will make it easier for myself to progress monitor growth and to showcase student work at parent-teacher conferences.
