My project consists of getting kids to fall more in love with math, feel welcome in my bare classroom, and be able to ask questions even through the language barrier. I want to provide loads of manipulatives and math posters that can help students who don't speak any English learn the math that they need. I have put on my list 3D shapes, fraction puzzles, white boards, and an anonymous question box. I also need some white boards with white board markers so that I can check for understanding. It is very difficult right now to check for understanding because we can not communicate through language. So, I need to provide them as many things that can help them feel successful even thought they can not talk to me.
