I am a ninth year teacher and beginning my first year in a new school district in Southeast Kansas. I have taught from 1st grade to 8th grade, spending most of my time in 4th and 5th grades. As I teach today's students, I must incorporate 21st century skills and model how to be life long learners in today's world. When my students leave my classroom for the day or the year, my end goal is for them to be independent learners, problem solvers, and people that strive and persevere through challenges.
