Students work cooperatively in groups of three throughout the school year to explore and learn in our forest space. Having a pair of student-sized binoculars for each group will allow them to get up close and personal with the plants, flowers, leaves, needles, chipmunks, squirrels, insects, and birds of the Maine Forest. They will also learn to share and encourage each other's learning and facilitate meaningful discussions. Having their own magnifying glass will let them do some individual exploring as well. They can use the magnifying glasses to enhance their drawings and journal entries. And the bonus lanyard will help everyone keep track of their own magnifying glass!
