I work in a low income school with most of my students receiving free or reduced priced lunch. I have multiple students who receive special education services. Many come from single parent households. As a school, we emphasize college readiness. Each class has chosen a college to sponsor the classroom. We wear the college t-shirts, talk about college and encourage students to be ready to go to college when the time comes.
