My spectacular second grade students or "Thinkers" as I like to call them come from all over the world. Many of them speak another language at home. Of my 18 students, two receive special education services, 8 are ELL (English Language Learners) and more than 50% qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunches. This year my students are very eager and truly enjoy hands on project based learning! They are a very creative, detail oriented, and focused group of "Thinkers" who love to build, paint, write and encourage each other. Our school is located in an urban setting just steps away from the beach and serves a wide variety of students from diverse cultures and countries.
