Special education programming at Edinbrook Elementary School strives to offer interventions to help primary level children from falling through the cracks academically. Programming continually needs to be adjusted to ensure technical training for staff, curricular modifications or adaptation, as well as to allow for coordination of specially designed instruction from multiple service providers. The presentation of disabilities co-morbid to one another - - autism spectrum disorders, specific learning disabilities and developmental cognitive disabilities - - for these students mean that staff must continually juggle to differentiate instruction.
