Reading is the most important thing a child needs to learn and allow them to be successful in all other areas of school and society. Guided reading is a teaching method used to help students learn how to read and has been shown to be successful. Guided reading allows the instructor to meet students in small groups and help each at their individual levels. Guided reading helps motivate students to read by giving them a variety of engaging text options to choose from. The right materials, supplies, and a rich classroom library can help a teacher successfully implement a productive guided reading program. Your donation to this project will help me implement a guided reading program in my classroom that I will use to meet the individual reading needs of all my students and help them to be successful! These materials will be in the hands of my students and used on a daily basis to motivate and encourage growth in their reading development. I have used guided reading with great results in my past classrooms. My current program does not fit the needs of my students and appropriate curriculum provided by the school district is very limited. I have started creating a new guided reading program, but I need help to see it to completion!
