As an inclusion teacher in a rural district in Texas, my class is made up of students who come from a variety of backgrounds and come with a wide range of experiences. I have a large special education population, ranging from students labeled with learning difficulty to those labeled gifted. The iPod Touch serves to level the field for all of my students. With technology it doesn't matter what their reading or math levels are, they can still be an expert. Unfortunately, my district is not able to meet the technology needs of our students. Having the iPod Touches will help them expand their horizons and plunge into the digital world ahead of them.
