Many of my students face challenges and difficulties that you may find unfair to adolescents. Many come from broken homes, foster homes, hungry homes, and homes without a computer. I teach keyboarding to 7th Grade students who need hope. HOPE can make the difference between success and failure. I started a +20 GWAMI (Gross Words a Minute - Improvement) board for students who improved their original typing speed by over 20 GWAM. My students took this and ran. They have soared to +30, +40, and now +50 words over their original speed. I have some students now typing over 80 GWAM with only 8 errors. These results are outstanding.
