Our regular English 10 students are are a kind, compassionate, and eclectic group of individuals searching for their place in the world. Most come from middle to low income families; we also have homeless students as well as some who have homes in a constant state of flux. To help counter some of these issues, we create a stable, safe atmosphere in our classrooms so students are more willing to take chances regarding learning opportunities. Our school is located in the Midwest and serves both rural and suburban areas. Approximately 36% of our students are on free and/or reduced lunch, and our current enrollment is over 1600. Moreover, 14.1% of our student population are classified as Special Services, many of most of whom are part of the regular education inclusion program.
