Math can be a challenging subject for students, especially when entering the 3rd grade! Students are being exposed to state standardized testing for the first time and it can be overwhelming for them. I have seen first hand with my students how much they benefit from hands on activities during our math lessons. They stay engaged while learning state standards at the same time. This project is geared to providing my students with more hands on resources for them to use in the classroom. All of the materials chosen for this project were specifically intended for grade level content we will be discussing throughout the year. I have seen tremendous engagement in the classroom by using math manipulatives!
