My students work on multiple projects throughout the year that involve in-depth research and digital presentations. We aim to develop computer fluency and keep students engaged by incorporating technology in new and different ways. Your donation will provide my students with netbooks so they can develop the skills necessary to compete in a technology-driven world. We currently have only three working computers in our classroom that are out-dated, slow, and cause my students to become frustrated with technology-based projects. With your help, students would be able to work in groups of 2-3 to do research projects, use applications that assist with literacy, design curriculum-based games online, and watch and respond to digital content to reinforce what we have done in class. These new computers will also be used to individualize assignments for students with special needs and incoming students who are new to the country.
