As in most schools in the city there are a plethora of cultures and languages. Our school has two dual language programs (French and Spanish) as well as students who speak Japanese and Amharic, so listening is an important skill for students as well as teachers. Our students enjoy helping each other and working together. In music class they work in pairs or small groups helping each other meet their goals. Students learn early on that it's O.K. To ask for help whether from a teacher or from a peer.
