We are adding new activities and updated equipment to improve our students quality of education along with diversity of sports to our program. We are adding Spike Ball that is a new game to our program. I first saw it last year and it looked like a fun game. Also, by adding a small stereo students will also be able to listen to music while exercising and playing. We hope this will liven up our classes a little along with adding sports that we can play indoors and out doors. By adding new footballs students will have access to softer, better balls to throw, catch and play games with. The new basketballs are needed for our Recreation basketball classes and our PE Activities classes so they can have basketballs that are not falling apart. I need a new whistle for getting students' attention and indoor soccer balls so the students can be safe while we play, along with outdoor Soccer balls.
I believe there will be around 800 students per year who will be able to benefit from the new equipment that we will receive. I am also sure that my students will be excited and appreciative of the new materials presented to our classes. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to support what we do in our physical education department.
We badly needed new Softball equipment and by being able to get brand new gloves we can now outfit the entire class with gloves to teach all students how to use a glove to do something as simple as throw and catch along with softer softballs so students will be less afraid of the balls. We also added a new bat for the girls and new bases so we can better see them.
